MISSION
At every phase of development YAMASAKI is committed to quality, client-centered designs delivered with collaboration, communication and responsiveness. This allows us to give form and meaning to spaces, buildings, landscapes and communities through creative solutions that are sustainable and inspire change.
HISTORY
Established in Detroit in 1955, YAMASAKI’s first commissioned project was the St. Louis Airport in 1956. In 1958 McGregor Memorial Conference Center on Wayne State University’s campus was the first project completed in Michigan. Since then YAMASAKI’s continuous evolution has enabled us to provide architecture and planning solutions domestically and internationally. Our team continues to create buildings and spaces based on the principals of Minoru Yamasaki – “The purpose of Architecture is to create an atmosphere in which man can live, work and enjoy.”
