YAMASAKI designed the Siemens research and development building to accommodate computer facilities, training areas and classrooms, a cafeteria, and offices for sales and administration operations. The 249,000 square foot structure also houses advanced technology and new project development laboratories. Other automotive related uses for the building includes labs for high/low pressure fuel injection and hydraulic and electronic systems, along with areas for vehicle testing, customer development, field testing, engine and chassis dynamometers, emission cells, and environmental test chambers.
